Meet. Empower. Engage. Talk. Approach2link host fiana Andrews created approachable opportunities for people to network. Promoting either your business, or the brand of yourself. Interactive games to connect with others were given to each person who entered the event. In a noisy venue not being able to say the words "what, huh, pardon me, repeat was the game where you collected the beads from the person who said any of those words. The person with the most beads won a prize. Guess who the the winner was? You guessed it. Your girl TK. I won a gift card that I will be using this week.
Overall the event was a great concept and idea, for those looking to meet someone, it allowed for friendly conversation that could turn into an after event meet up. It's great to meet new people, because you never know when your paths will cross again. My only hang up was that this event was located in the west. I'm an east end girl and I enjoy a quick ride home, but I car pooled and enjoyed being a backseatbeauty.
I definitely would encourage you to go to an event by progressive socialites in the near future.
Let's support each other and get to meet new people at the same time.

This month I'm fortunate to celebrate both of my children's birthdays. January is a busy month for this mom.
For my first daughter many years ago I threw a themed birthday party for her 1st birthday. Zynaye in the Jungle. I really went all out in making sure that I created an atmosphere that not only the children enjoyed but that parents remembered. Each guest was able to take home a framed picture of my little one to remember the party.
After having the second child 7 years later, I wasn't really up to spending all the time putting in all the work and effort for a little one who wouldn't even remember the party.
I was pressured by so many around me that I had to do something for the newest princess so after much push-back I planned a Busy Bee themed party.

I did everything myself with help from friends and family and everyone said they really enjoyed it. My little princess had a fever and wasn't much fun at her party but all her little friends really enjoyed.
With the bee theme I already had colours to work with which made it very easy. Black, yellow and white were simple and easy and could be found all over the space.
I also try to cater to kids and adults as they end up being the majority at a 1'st birthday party. Adults played musical chairs and had a trivia page to fill out, all for gift card prizes.
I spent hours cutting out pictures and putting candy bags together, but when it was all said and done, everyone enjoyed themselves and I stayed within my budget which was one of the main reasons why I decorated myself and went to the trusty dollar store. You can find all your party essentials there for a fraction of the cost. I really wanted everything to be simple but fun.
Being a thrifty mom, I'm always looking for ways to save money and DIY party's especially for the little ones help me do that.
