This past weekend was eventful to say the least. It was a long weekend here in Toronto Canada, and of course in TK fashion I didn't have a chance to pencil in rest & relaxation on my to do list. I was out and about celebrating birthdays of friends which leads up to mine this weekend. Happy Birthday to ME! My entire wardrobe this weekend was thrifted. I was able to save money on my outfits which will allow for some extra purchases for my b-day weekend.
I attend church every Saturday with my family and this week my girls and I all happened to be in dresses that I thrifted. I was't able to get a great picture of baby girls dress but I'll be sure to post it to the IG page. My oldest daughter enjoys wearing dresses and being able to have her own style. I want to be able to look good and save all at the same time.
I had a cruise boat party to attend on Saturday night and had no clue what I was going to wear. I wasn't sure if being on the water would be cold, and I am not really a pants kinda girl. I find that dresses are what really do it for me.
I finally decided on this purple overall type dress that of course I thrifted because that's just what I do. I paired it with my BCBG purple, fushia, black pumps and a little jacket for when it got cold. I purchased for $6. The best part no one else would be in my outfit.
My final event was a cruiseline All-White themed party. I had been racking my brain for 2 weeks of what I would wear, where would I find an outfit that no one else would have? I paired a forever21 floral applique overlay formal tank, under a whimsical summer white dress, then topped it off with some accessories and White pumps.
Overall I must have spent maybe $25 for all these pieces. I think I may do I thrift challenge. Let me know if you think that would be a kiss or dismiss and if you're up for the challenge.
As the flowers start to bloom and the sun starts to shine just a little brighter, joyus occasions of 2 becoming one appear. Wedding season!
I have had at least 2 weddings a year in the last 5 years. I often want to think of what to wear sooner than later so that I am not looking for an outfit at the last minute, that may turn around costing me an arm and a leg. Planning what to wear will help with your budget and also coordinating with your date.
I personally enjoy short dresses because I love to show of my legs, but I am starting to really want to try a nice long flowing outfit.
I also really enjoy pattern and color because unless I am in the wedding I don't want to be in the audience looking like a bridesmaid. lol
I know I am not the only one who has weddings to attend this season, so share some pics, or ideas. I have another one at the end of June and would love some pointers from you all.
Till next time, TK
